I Have Come To Learn
Years have long passed
And while I have aged along the way
I have not yet learned about all things
In this life time
I am still an apprentice
Therefore, I will never cease to learn.
Each day starts with a new lesson
Sometimes, I just go absorbing the teachings
One by one at a time
Quite wonders am I taught
Which make me yearn for more and yet more
My teachers range from babes to elders
Who unknowingly show me
How amazing a tiny detail can make
An enormous difference in one´s very life.
Time has taught me that
Precious are moments well spent
With your beloved ones and
Not how much time is spent
In their company.
Life has neither been a barrel of fun
Nor total dismay
However, often have I faced great scares
And duly grateful am I
For not having been given a manual
On how to deal in certain situations
For all that I have learned,
All that I have lived,
Gained and overcome
Have been due to my own struggles,
Victories and achievements.
Many a times I have lost
As well as many others where I came out victorious and proud!
A tie we shall call it then!
And when time comes turning the corner
I will just keep moving on
However, just before the curtain falls
I will take my final bow
And thoughtfully thank those
who have kindly given me
Some of their precious time and inspirations
In order that I become
Who I was meant to be.
