O Mito de Perseu, O filme Fúria de Titãs e minha vida

Texto tirado do meu de crônicas "Fogo Interior”.

Em maio do ano de 2010, no mês do meu aniversário de 26 anos, eu vi o filme Fúria de Titãs. Foi o último filme que eu vi antes de ter uma recaída da minha doença: esquizofrenia. Em meados de março do mesmo ano eu tinha parado de escutar vozes e ter pensamentos alterados, reflexões alteradas. Mas o meu arqui-inimigo, que vou chamá-lo aqui de Coringa, voltou a armar pra mim com força nas ruas, ele e sua turma. Então, eu tive que parar de lutar nas ruas. A minha luta e terapia era vender cartão de visita de porta em porta, de loja em loja. Lembro-me que na véspera do meu aniversário, no dia 1 de maio, dia do trabalho, entreguei um presente a minha melhor amiga e única na atualidade, tirando os colegas, que por coincidência ela faz aniversário no mesmo dia do meu aniversário. Então, de maio a junho, fiquei em casa... como posso dizer, em quarentena. As vozes e os pensamentos alterados e as reflexões doentias voltaram, mas também voltaram às reflexões saudáveis. Não sei se você sabe leitor, mas os esquizofrênicos, em geral, são muito inteligentes. As armações agora vieram até meu lar e vizinhança, não da mesma maneira nas ruas, é lógico, mas de modo diferente. Durante esses dois meses, descobri que aquela minha única amiga, também era minha única família. O interessante dessa confusão toda é que minha vizinhança descobriu dentro de mim, através das minhas reflexões saudáveis, que existia um Perseu dentro de mim. Aquele mesmo herói da mitologia grega. Mas minha vizinhança continuou contra mim por que causa dos meus pensamentos doentios.

No filme Fúria de Titãs (o de 2010 e não o filme da década de 80) que foi baseado no mito de Perseu, Perseu descobre que é um herói, um semideus no caso, metade mortal, metade divino, ele descobre que tem essa natureza depois que sua família morre e Hades, o Deus do submundo, com a permissão de Zeus, o Deus dos Deuses, dar um prazo de 10 dias até acontecer o eclipse para uma cidade que se voltou contra os Deuses escolher em sacrificar Andrômeda, a princesa da cidade, ou a destruição total da cidade. Perseu é filho de Zeus, e Hades tem um plano secreto pra destronar Zeus. Hades, na verdade, faz um falso acordo, pois a intenção dele é destruir a cidade independente do sacrifício de Andrômeda. Então, Perseu e uma pequena turma vão as bruxas saber como pode destruir o Kraken, um monstro da mitologia nórdica que foi usado no filme. É esse monstro que vai destruir a cidade. As bruxas dizem que tem que ir ao submundo e cortar a cabeça da Medusa e mostrar ao Kraken. A medusa é um monstro que, quem olha diretamente nos olhos dela se petrifica, e seus cabelos representam os desejos e instintos. Seus cabelos são várias serpentes, que simboliza o conhecimento não direcionado. Uma única serpente saindo da cabeça do Faraó do Egito simboliza sabedoria, mas várias serpentes juntas simbolizam o conhecimento não direcionado. Perseu ainda escuta além do necessário: as bruxas dizem que Perseu está destinado a morrer antes de cumprir sua missão.

Antes de enfrentar a Medusa, Perseu e sua turma enfrentam algumas batalhas, inclusive contra escorpiões gigantes. E no caminho Perseu recebe algumas armas mágicas, como uma espada e a ajuda do cavalo alado Pégaso. Armas mágicas dadas pelo Olimpo, à morada dos Deuses gregos. Por fim, a turma de Perseu morre no submundo e só ele sobrevive e consegue cortar a cabeça da Medusa, olhando não diretamente nos olhos da Medusa, mas através da parte de dentro espelhada do seu escudo. Ele olha pra si, e pra Medusa, e consegue cortar a cabeça. Depois, com a ajuda do cavalo alado vai até a cidade e se coloca entre Andrômeda e o Kraken e mostra a cabeça da Medusa para o monstro e o monstro se petrifica e não mata Andrômeda e nem destrói a cidade. Depois, Hades aparece e com ajuda do raio de Zeus, Perseu e sua espada manda Hades de volta pra o submundo.

Contextualizando com minha vida, eu sou o Perseu; o Kraken é tudo que o Coringa fez comigo nas ruas, e a medusa são as armações que chegaram a minha vizinhança e no meu lar, e também é minha esquizofrenia. Pois, nesses dois meses vivi no submundo, por que escutava vozes e tinhas pensamentos alterados. Quem olhava pras armações que aconteciam comigo ficava petrificado, e pra eu vencer as armações e a esquizofrenia eu tinha que usar a técnica de Perseu, olhar pra um espelho e ver eu mesmo, ver um herói dentro de mim, e não olhar diretamente pra medusa, que são as armações e a esquizofrenia. Nessa guerra, descobri que tinhas outros inimigos bem mais próximos, como Duas-Caras, a Mulher-Gato, a Hera Venenosa, Charada, Pinguim, Arlequina... dentre outros vilões do Batman, que se encaixa também na minha vida. Antes de eu ter essa recaída em maio, eu tinha aliados, poucos, mas tinha, mas durante a recaída só sobrou eu, como no filme só restou Perseu, e como na história do Batman, em que Batman é um herói solitário. Andrômeda é essa minha melhor amiga que foi colocada em sacrifício pela cidade, pois só ela acreditava em mim. A espada de Perseu simbolicamente é minha palavra. O escudo é a fé. E Pégaso, o cavalo alado, é esse texto que público para o mundo.

In May 2010, in the month of my 26th birthday, I saw the film Clash of the Titans. It was the last film I saw before I had a relapse of my illness: schizophrenia. In mid-March of the same year I had stopped hearing voices and having altered thoughts, altered reflections. But my arch-enemy, who I'll call him the Joker here, set me up with force on the streets again, he and his gang. So, I had to stop fighting in the streets. My struggle and therapy was to sell business cards from door to door, from store to store. I remember that on the eve of my birthday, on May 1st, Labor Day, I gave a gift to my best friend and only friend at the moment, apart from her colleagues, who coincidentally has her birthday on the same day as my birthday. So, from May to June, I was at home... how can I say, in quarantine. The voices and altered thoughts and unhealthy reflections returned, but so did the healthy reflections. I don't know if you know, reader, but schizophrenics, in general, are very intelligent. The frames now came to my home and neighborhood, not in the same way as on the streets, of course, but in a different way. During these two months, I discovered that my only friend was also my only family. The interesting thing about this whole mess is that my neighborhood discovered within me, through my healthy reflections, that there was a Perseus within me. That same hero from Greek mythology. But my neighborhood remained against me because of my unhealthy thoughts.

In the film Clash of the Titans (the 2010 one and not the 80s film) which was based on the myth of Perseus, Perseus discovers that he is a hero, a demi-god in this case, half mortal, half divine, he discovers that he has this nature after his family dies and Hades, the God of the underworld, with the permission of Zeus, the God of Gods, gives a period of 10 days until the eclipse occurs for a city that turned against the Gods to choose to sacrifice Andromeda, the city princess, or the total destruction of the city. Perseus is the son of Zeus, and Hades has a secret plan to dethrone Zeus. Hades, in fact, makes a false agreement, as his intention is to destroy the city regardless of Andromeda's sacrifice. So, Perseus and a small group go to the witches to find out how to destroy the Kraken, a monster from Norse mythology that was used in the film. It is this monster that will destroy the city. The witches say they have to go to the underworld and cut off Medusa's head and show it to the Kraken. Medusa is a monster who, whoever looks directly into her eyes, is petrified, and her hair represents desires and instincts. Her hair is several serpents, which symbolizes undirected knowledge. A single serpent emerging from the head of the Pharaoh of Egypt symbolizes wisdom, but several serpents together symbolize undirected knowledge. Perseus still listens beyond what is necessary: the witches say that Perseus is destined to die before fulfilling his mission.

Before facing Medusa, Perseus and his gang face some battles, including against giant scorpions. And on the way Perseus receives some magical weapons, such as a sword and the help of the winged horse Pegasus. Magical weapons given by Olympus, to the home of the Greek Gods. Finally, Perseus's gang dies in the underworld and only he survives and manages to cut off Medusa's head, looking not directly into Medusa's eyes, but through the mirrored inside of her shield. He looks at himself, and at Medusa, and manages to cut off her head. Then, with the help of the winged horse, he goes to the city and puts himself between Andromeda and the Kraken and shows Medusa's head to the monster and the monster petrifies itself and does not kill Andromeda or destroy the city. Then, Hades appears and with the help of Zeus' lightning, Perseus and his sword sends Hades back to the underworld.

In context with my life, I am Perseus; the Kraken is everything that the Joker did to me on the streets, and the jellyfish is the frames that arrived in my neighborhood and in my home, and it is also my schizophrenia. Well, during those two months I lived in the underworld, because I heard voices and had altered thoughts. Anyone who looked at the frames that happened to me was petrified, and for me to overcome the frames and schizophrenia I had to use the Perseus technique, look in a mirror and see myself, see a hero within me, and not look directly at Medusa , which are frames and schizophrenia. In that war, I discovered that you had other enemies that were much closer, like Two-Face, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Penguin, Harley Quinn... among other Batman villains, which also fits into my life. Before I had this relapse in May, I had allies, few, but I did, but during the relapse only me was left, like in the film only Perseus was left, and like in the Batman story, in which Batman is a lonely hero. Andromeda is my best friend who was sacrificed for the city, because only she believed in me. Perseus' sword symbolically is my word. The shield is faith. And Pegasus, the winged horse, is this text that is public to the world.
