Dog and Cat of the Brightshine Forest

Once upon a time, in the Brightshine Forest, there lived Dog and Cat. They were born on the same day, but had always been taught not to be together, because that’s how dogs and cats live. So Dog grew up and became a very strong and artful hunter. Cat was very light-hearted and used to wander through the forest. She had a mind full of thoughts and a soul full of energy, whereas for Dog all that mattered was to be the best in the pack.

Yet they had something else in common, besides their birthday. When they were tired, for whatever reason, they needed to be left alone. And Cat’s favorite place was the waterfall in the middle of the forest, and so was Dog’s. For Cat, there wasn’t a better place for thinking then immersed in the water. For Dog, that was a silent and secluded place for him to practice his abilities. But fate hadn’t planned a meeting for them till that day.

Now it came to pass that, as Cat was diving as usual, Dog suddenly jumped into the water aggressively, just practicing one of his best moves, never wondering there would be somebody else there. But how could Cat have foreseen something like that? And as she was not a fighter, but nor a wimpy, she readily got prepared to defend herself. What happened next was that they started to fight and suddenly they fell together splashing water everywhere and realized there was no reason for wrestling. And so the fight became a gambol.

After that day, that place became their venue and they started sharing experiences, showing to one another the world through their eyes. Dog taught some useful fighting moves to Cat and she, in turn, showed him that life has more than a single aim and that sometimes purely enjoying life can be great. And they learned together that opening your mind to see beyond the standards we are taught is the door to get in touch with new experiences and discover amazing possibilities.
