It's slightly torturing

It's slightly torturing how I'll never be able to share some memories with you. I may, or may not, live these experiences with someone else. But what if I think of you instead? What if I get stuck wondering how it could have been if you were the one by my side? What if I love the moment more than the company itself, because it reminds me of you? What if I want to do all these things just because you and I had never had the chance? Just because we didn't dare to play a game we were fated to lose. But, oh dear, what if we had decided to bet and, for once, the odds were in our favor. And, instead of losing what had never been ours, we could have won together a collection of memories of immeasurable value.
