Paz

Vossa paz, meu consolo.

Mundo insano e um coração inquieto

Dá-nos a Paz dos filhos,

Pela presença do amor!

E a ausência da angústia,

Pois és nosso Consolador.

Certeza do alívio, e de um coração manso,

Assim como o Teu, na presença do Pai.

A agitação do amor que tira do mundo a dor,

Transformando a tristeza e a frieza do ser

Na paz que em Ti é gerada pelo amor.

Viver para Ti, e ao mundo desprezar.

Viver Tua Palavra e aprender a amar.

Vem ao nosso coração

A certeza da paz.

Pois a Tua presença é que

Nos satisfaz.

Peace

Your peace, my comfort.

Insane world and a restless heart

Give us the Peace of the children,

By the presence of love!

And the absence of anguish,

For You are our Comforter.

Certainty of relief, and of a meek heart,

Just as Yours, in the presence of the Father.

The agitation of love that draws the world from pain,

Transforming the sadness and coldness of being

In the peace that in You is generated by love.

Live for you, and the world to despise.

Live Your Word and learn to love.

Come to our heart

The certainty of peace.

For Thy presence is that

It satisfies us.
