CONFLICT

*** AGRADEÇO AO AMIGO E COLEGA, PROFESSOR ROBERTO PAIXÃO, UM SEGUNDO OLHAR SOBRE ESTE TEXTO POÉTICO QUE É UMA VERSÃO PARA A LÍNGUA INGLESA DO POEMA CONFLITO, RECENTEMENTE PUBLICADO

You hear crying the skies?

You feel the fury of the oceans?

I’m asking you

The Earth tremble under your feet?

Is the Sun burning as it did never before?

The moon bath naked in the nearby waters

And in lakes far away?

Hungry lions roar inside the jungle?

The thunder light follies in skies?

Do your eyes flame like candles?

Your chest rippes under my tender touch?

It’s me, poetry

Desperate runs a horse on the surface of your skin

And on your lips a kiss lives forever?

Are there two entwined lovelly arms embraced to your body

Tight and indefinitely?

These thirsty arms are mine, unfortunately

I wonder if my hands caress

As if they were shipwrecked in the torrent

I also wonder if there is a longing swoon

And a love vain wish

Sorrowfully walking beside you

Tell me yet if, at least, this what I say you can see or feel

Then I implore you

Not to see this

Not to feel so

Because I d’ont want to happen what my heart says

And my brains d’ont agree
