Escaping death

It was fun how it all happened

It was nice trying something new

It was reckless getting so close to death

But I’m sorry for those who never will

It was dangerous but I felt so good

Despite the fact that my mind was in a whirl

And it was pleasant surviving

Learning lessons I thought I never would

Unfortunately I confirmed

Some things I didn’t want to

The truth can be really tough

But that I already knew

The closer you get to death

The more you learn

And I might want to learn a little bit more

Anyway, it’s good to know

That this doesn’t have to be the end

And you’ll always have a chance to escape
