A Dream (March, 2017)

When I arrived at Hotel Cassils

The manager hugged me tight

And poured some whiskey 'cause I was alive

The music was playing loud and beautiful

The place was full of gentlemen

and their wives

As I entered the living room

I stood next the curtains and closed my eyes

And her sweetest voice sang

I got up the stairs

And sat at one table

And then the music stopped

Cause she knew I was waiting her

And she got up the stairs and sat

Beside me in silence

She looked at her toes for an eternity

And without a word she gave a newspaper clipping

And started to sing with her eyes full of tears

While I read a note about that night seven years ago

"Billions lost as stocks crash"

"I thought God would be with me..."

"Prices are set to double"

"...When you decided to go..."

"Crash on a highway left four people killed"

"...But I felt lonely so lonely..."

"In Hotel Cassils several pilots were recruited for War"

"...Nor even god could ever know..."

But it was just me wishing

her to care or do anything for me

The music kept playing downstairs

And her voice was all I could hear

She had sang for the last seven years

To carry and feed our son

She knew she must kept singing

Because that's what strong women do

She had learned a lot about life

In all these year, she kept her pain

Under the pillow that we once shared

And I was just a strange at this point

I didn't do much when I was here

And I didn't deserve the love she loved

Even though she still loves me
