O homem que venceu o deserto / The man who conquered the desert
In Portuguese and English.
Por Victor Silva Pinheiro, Escritor Brasileiro do Século 21.
O homem que venceu o deserto
Poesia tirada do meu livro "Flores ao Conquistador".
Vendo o homem
Que venceu o deserto
Me lembrei
da sabedoria popular
que diz:
"Deus não escolhe os capacitados,
mas capacita os escolhidos"
O escolhido é aquele que se escolhe
para servir ao máximo a humanidade,
munido de sabedoria
Um homem de leitura
Amante da cultura árabe
Foi escolhido por Deus
Para liderar as diversas tribos
rivais
e unir-las
numa só grande nação
Lutando
pela liderança
de uma só grande flor:
A Flor Mítica
Que brota no deserto
Que simboliza
Que o homem não é
produto do meio
mas sim
produto
da sua própria vontade
Só há destino
se o construirmos
Unindo o novo
com o antigo
Foi ele ao deserto
Por que teu destino
Homem
É o deserto
Sendo guiado
Pela mão invisível
do destino
Foi ele
Pincelando seu destino
e reescrevendo
a história do seu povo
Nobre,
Letrado
já tinha o coração de ouro
então a técnica,
da guerra
adquiriu na caminhada
no deserto
Ao ser enviado ao deserto
Adquiriu o coração guerreiro beduíno
O deserto o transformou num herói
É na dificuldade que a gente cresce
Ao chegar ao mar
Pois teu prêmio homem
ao vencer o deserto
é ir ao mar
Mais uma vez a mão invisível
do destino
o favoreceu
Foi presenteado
Com água doce,
poesia
E conheceu sua alma:
sua dama
E assim ele disse:
"Dêem-me um poeta
um repórter
e um pintor,
e eu vencerei o mundo"
Foi ele, abastecido
Em busca do verdadeiro ouro:
a sabedoria de um povo cultural
No final
Acredito eu que foi ele ao mar
uma segunda vez
com a princesa
que o presenteou com flores:
- Flores ao conquistador
e esperança
de um futuro melhor
ao povo árabe.

The man who conquered the desert
Poem taken from my book "Flowers to the Conqueror".
Seeing the man
Who overcame the desert
I remembered
of popular wisdom
That say
"God does not choose the capable,
but he empowers the chosen ones"
The chosen one is the one who chooses
to serve humanity to the fullest,
equipped with wisdom
A reading man
Lover of Arabic culture
He was chosen by God
To lead the diverse tribes
rivals
and unite them
in one great nation
Fighting
for leadership
of a single large flower:
The Mythical Flower
That grows in the desert
What symbolizes
That man is not
middle product
but yes
product
of your own will
There is only destiny
if we build it
Uniting the new
with the old
He went to the desert
Why your destiny
Man
It's the desert
Being guided
By the invisible hand
of destiny
It was him
Brushing your destiny
and rewriting
the history of your people
Noble,
Literate
I already had a heart of gold
So the technique,
of war
acquired on the walk
in the desert
When sent to the desert
Acquired the Bedouin Warrior Heart
The desert turned him into a hero
It is in difficulty that we grow
Upon reaching the sea
For your prize man
when conquering the desert
is to go to the sea
Once again the invisible hand
of destiny
favored him
It was gifted
With fresh water,
poetry
And met his soul:
your lady
And so he said:
"Give me a poet
a reporter
and a painter,
and I will overcome the world"
It was he, supplied
In search of real gold:
the wisdom of a cultural people
At the end
I believe he went overboard
a second time
with the princess
who presented him with flowers:
- Flowers to the conqueror
and hope
of a better future
to the Arab people.
